One for the SimSig team but anyone know why a number of Sims on the website come up as corrupt or invalid using Windows 10 64Edition?

I've just tried to download Wembley numerous times and each time it fails, says "The signature of WembleyML1_0 (1).exe is corrupt or invalid - now I've tried it 4 times and 4 timers it has failed so I hope it won't count against the download allowance I get from SimSig that said I would like to understand why this has occurred because usually I don't have a issue with this site.

Anyone know?

Strange, as I haven't been able to install these sims as the website thinks I've downloaded them will they still count against my allowance?

I'm not one to complain often if at all but that does seem rather unfair Indeed I have now tried downloading Wembley for the FIFTH time and five times it has said it is either corrupt or invalid.

So from my point of view, there is a fault with the server hosting corrupt files because I can understand once or twice but a dozen times isn't right

Are you running any sort of AV software that might be causing corrupt download issues?

I've downloaded all the files you have an issue with, and opened them fine.

Just Windows Defender which comes with Windows 10, I've now managed to install these rogue sims but glass ceiling means I won't be able to download any timetables until 24hrs later.

Can you say how you managed? It might help track down what the issue is if we know what you did to resolve.

I thought the total limit was 25 downloads: 5 is the individual file limit.

I had to turn Windows Defender off, it then said something about not recognising the file ie it wasn't signed if that makes sense? I click ok to install it and it went ahead to install.

Well I was under the impression I could download a file 5 times but the thing is you are still restricted to 25 files in total no more no less.

Windows Smartscreen prevented a unrecognised application from starting. Running this application might put your PC at risk.

I clicked on Run Anyway and it comes up as Unknown Publisher still asking if I want to install or not, does this help?

If turning Windows Defender off allowed you to download and install that would seem to point at the problem being there. Is it one of the false positives discussed elsewhere?

Slightly rhetorical question, but this is what I had in mind.

I recently experienced a similar problem. See my post on 3rd February.
Under Windows 10 64 bit and using the new Windows 10 Edge browser, several files are reported as "signature ... corrupt or invalid" in a pop-up window after download has completed and the verification check has failed. Normally, if the verification check succeeds, you can run the install immediately from the pop-up window. If the check fails and you get the message that the signature is corrupt or invalid, you can still go to your Downloads folder, and attempt to run the installation exe from their by double-clicking on the file. On Windows 10, this invokes the Windows Smart Screen filter which tells you that the file has come from an unrecognised source. You can then only install the file by clicking on the underlined phrase "more info" which then brings up a button "Run Anyway" which when pressed then installs the file as normal without any further problems.
Not all files which I have downloaded recently bring up this problem, which suggests that in some cases the installation package contains a valid certificate stating that the file comes from a recognised source, whereas in other cases, this certificate is either missing or has possibly expired (Gone out of date).
I have experienced the "signature ... corrupt or invalid" whilst downloading the following files in the past few days - all were eventually successfully installed: KingsX, Gloucester, Liverpool St., Westbury, Waterloo, Victoria Central, Victoria South East, West Hampstead.
Hope this info helps.

Pretty much what I am getting, just sticking with IE for time being as it's still a fairly new laptop.
