  • I was working the Birmingham New Street 2015 v1.2 timetable with loader 4.5.11 and data version 1.3.

  • 5S31 arrived at signal 154 which was held at red by T233 which had failed occupied.

  • 5S31 arrived at signal 154 which was held at red by T233 which had failed occupied.

  • I told the driver to pass the signal and examine the line (so he would call back from shunt signal 147 without waiting).

  • When he called from 147, I told him to pass the signal at danger and continue examining the line (the failure was ahead of this signal).

  • When 5S31 arrived at the mid-platform signal 194, the driver called back and then the train started dividing leaving 1S31 outside the platform (it's booked to occupy the entire platform).


I tried subsequently just telling the driver to pass 147 at danger and the train used the full length of platform 6.

So it seems that the incorrect arrival test is used after a telephone call.

A saved game is available. The problem is repeatable.

2025 posts 		There isn't a bug here, it is a quirk of SimSig.

As the train has stopped within a platform it is considered to have arrived at New Street, so will commence the station duties. The only workaround I can think of would be to not ask for an examination.
