Sounds good. My ideas, with player numbers based on all panels being taken:

1. ECML and Midlands (Wembley Mainline + Watford Junction + Rugby South + Rugby Centre + Rugby North + Saltley + Birmingham New Street + Wolverhampton + Coventry + Aston + Derby) (11 sims, 27 players)

2. ECML, Midlands & Others (Wembley Mainline + Watford Junction + Rugby South + Rugby Centre + Rugby North + Saltley + Birmingham New Street + Wolverhampton + Coventry + Aston + Derby + Leamington Spa + Marylebone) (13 sims, 33 players without the LUL panel on Marylebone)

3. ECML North & Leeds (Tyneside IECC + York + Leeds + Leeds Northwest + Leeds Ardsley) (5 sims, 14 players).

4. London, Bedford & South East (Victoria Central + Victoria South East + Wimbledon + Feltham + Horsham + West Hampstead) (6 sims, 29 players).

Hope those provide some ideas!

Dave

Well, HST125Scorton said that he was going to host Rugby assuming he is available at Christmas. If only some people have those sims then we can do it, but for now, we don't even know if anyone has some of these small sims.

I'm willing to host all 3 Rugby's with other simulators joining up as external signal boxes or I connect to them.

I happy with an idea from Dave
"2. ECML, Midlands & Others (Wembley Mainline + Watford Junction + Rugby South + Rugby Centre + Rugby North + Saltley + Birmingham New Street + Wolverhampton + Coventry + Aston + Derby + Leamington Spa + Marylebone) (13 sims, 33 players without the LUL panel on Marylebone)"

I could do all 3 Rugby's and Saltley at a push. I'm free over the Xmas period from 19th Dec to 3rd Jan.

To further expand the number of sims and players you can add the following as well I belive the Victoria's (Cent and South Eastern) and from them Maidstone East and West Hampstead, these can chain in via the Wembly mainline

Unless Rugby has recently moved across the country, I think someone's got a bit confused about East and West...

Two points to consider:-
1) have a number of free simulations in the mix to help getting enough participants;
2) having some with ARS option (and enabled) to allow for staff shortages.

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Do Leamington and Marylebone have a TT that will chain at the moment?

Do these two include any of the ECML sims (King's Cross / Peterborough / York / Leeds / Newcastle)?

Now thats a good question. Because the only way to link them is by North London Line but it is outdated. Another way is by connecting them by Scotland sims. But there are no sims from Carlisle to Birmingham.

We did once try option 1 and managed to fill all the panels. No reason why it wouldn't work again IMO. It would also be my preferred option.

My mistake. I thought, for some reason, that Euston to Watford Junction was ECML. I was quite tired when I wrote that post so probably got confused.

As far as ECML goes, the one missing sim is Doncaster: hope that one will come out sooner or later.

The large chain hosted by Karl and I was quite a task to manage in some ways, and only really possible in some ways because many people were on teamspeak, and a couple core panels pre allocated to people that we knew as such. Realistically I'd say a session like that needs at least 3people hosting. Seeing up the session also took about the best part of an hour to set up just the chaining

Just for clarity the list of simulations hosted:-

Wembley Mainline
Watford Junction
Rugby South
Rugby Centre
Rugby North
Coventry
Leamington
Saltley
New Street
Wolverhampton
Aston
Derby

While Marylebone could be added into this chain there is not a compatible timetable with which to do so.

For a lot of the session every single panel was manned by one person, and we had 31 people connected to the TeamSpeak server.
