I have downloaded the Dalston Oil terminal tutorial and I have managed to link it into the Carlisle sim. However, I cannot now find the tutorial again to look at the scenario instructions. I am fine with the Ground Frames and the panel which appears on the extreme right of the main panel. I have managed also to reverse the train onto the down platform, but I am now at a loss as to where the train should go and how it will get there. Just as an aside, I am using Version 3,238.2.0 Carlisle 11-10-14 1980's and when I load this timetable I receive the "Warning: Timetable may not be compatible with this scenario. Continue anyway?"

Any help would be appreciated.

Great simulations by the way.

Thanks

Tony Gardner

Provided the train is fully on the Down line and you've reset all the ground frames to the 'Normal' position, it should continue back to Carlisle as per its timetable like any other train.

If you're using a timetable set in 2014, the simulation should be running in 2000s mode, not 1980s mode. You'll probably get away with it for most trains, but trains to/from Carlisle Yard might cause problems. It's also possible that speed limits are different between the two eras, so trains might not be able to keep to time.

Depends on the TT. The Oil Terminal is single ended and there is no RR facility so IRL I think that the train sits on the Down Line while the loco hooks off from the Wigton end, crosses to the Up and than back over the North GF to rejoin and draw the train to Kingmoor Yard. There may be a RR move in the TT which is muddying the waters.

Fairly sure that's what happens in real life, but I don't think running round at Dalston is possible in the (currently available) simulation.
