Hello! I'm a lifelong railfan in the states who loves dispatching, both in simulators and the model railroading world. I hope to have fun with this simulator as I am brand new to it.

Cheers!

Hi everyone,

Been playing for a few weeks now and really enjoying the sim. I've got the hang of Royston (I think!) and now want to look at a more complicated layout. Any suggestions for the next step?

Looking forward to speaking with you all and maybe, when I've got the hang of it properly, having a few online games.

Regards,
Stu

There's a page grouping simulations by complexity over here, as a guide to help you decide.

Hello, just joined SimSig. Previously worked with ScotRail S & T. Definately looking forward to trying out this sim, especially the Edinburgh one. :-)

Hello, I'm from the Eastern US. I've been playing train sims like Train Simulator and Train Sim World for a few years now (and more recently, Diesel Railcar Simulator), and that has sparked a broader interest in trains and train operations. As time goes on, I find I am more interested in UK railways than American ones, even though I've never been to the UK.

Anyway, I first heard of SimSig in a YouTube Train Simulator tutorial by PTGRail, where he used it to demonstrate some UK signalling concepts. It seemed interesting, but for various reasons I didn't try it out at the time. And then around a week ago I downloaded SimSig on a whim, and I've been enjoying it since then. Right now I've been running Oxted, which seemed to be a good choice for a beginner looking for a little more complexity than Royston. I'll be playing around with this one for awhile until I really get the hang of it before moving on.

Hello there! I'm 100% human with an interest in railway operations. Too old to be a signaller now, but you never know! Going to try my hand at the Manchester Piccadilly sim seeing that I know this area very well and the box itself. Wish me luck!!
Keith

Hello guys!
Can't seem to find a general reply button anywhere but on the first post, hmmm...probably just me;)

Self-ascribed simulator fan, last experience of anything similar in terms of signalling and control was with aircraft...There are interesting parallels.
