Can anyone help? I have the latest only download for the NLL sim (Beta Scrolly no longer available I believe) but the real problem is (are) the timetables associated with this sim. Many errors appear on them and need editing to make operation of sim workable. Now, as a newbie, I do have problems editing timetables. Is there a tutorial on how to edit and where can I find it? I have successfully edited one or two entries but I always get 'access violation' messages after I have edited, even though, by ignoring the message, the edit seems to work sometimes!!! Further, I don;t know how to edit trains already arrived on the system. So, the NLL sim is not a particularly enjoyable game when one has to continually make amendments. It is a shame because the NLL is a most interesting operation and very challenging. However, the 'gremlins' are really annoying.

Terry.

What version North London line are you using? and what timetables are the problem.

I may not be able to help but it will be valuable information for those who can.

NLL V2.102; Timetables: Winter 2003 (comes with simulation); Winter 2003 {Revised); 1985 VL.1.7.zip. I have not specified what problems there are in these timetables because there are too many but some examples may suffice: trains with incorrect routing; trains which show 'electric traction' when they have to go over non-electrified track; trains with correct headcodes but not altered in the 'train list'; trains which stubbornly refuse to move when signal is given (trainlist shows that the train is waiting for signal already given), etc., etc., etc!!! If I posted a thread for every problem which arises whilst operating the sim, the forum would be awash with MY questions. This I want to avoid but since I have very few problems using other simulations (except of my own making!}, I have come to the conclusion that the NLL sim and timetables need an overhaul. I apologise if this seems harsh and I realise some of the problems may be of my own making but having tried to get through atleast one timetable without success, the fault cannot all be mine!

Are you running NLL on the loader, or as a standalone .exe?

NLL that can be downloaded off of the website was a temporary version, there's been so many timetables done for NLL to work with different version I suspect the one you've got from the downloads area just isn't compatible with the simulation version.

I would expect the timetable that ships with the sim to work.

I have the version shown in the official (donationware} section. The timetable which comes with it (winter 2003) has issues e.g 1M99 and 5V20 (which have been discussed on the forum). These are not the only issues and although the 'winter 2003 (revised)timetable put some of these right, there are still issues; indeed, it was the revised version which resulted in my receiving 'access violation' messages by the score and locked up my computer for no apparent reason!

Howard Potter is working on getting NLL fixed and ready for release - I saw a version just yesterday. Being a hybrid (no specific era) it is slightly more tricky, and having so many chaining connections / junctions also makes testing tough.

I have just discovered NLL "Hybrid" in Simsig Loader, but there is no timetable with it. Is there a timetable available with NLL for Loader?

That version was a development version which was accidentally released and therefore has no timetable. There are some timetables for old scrolly beta available for download which may or may not work in the Loader version.
