Hello everybody.
I am now retired having worked nearly all of my working life on the railway. I saw the last 3 1/2 years of steam as a fireman. The majority though was with the S&T. Working through the grades from Railman (labourer in those days). 40 of those years were involved in Training. After 10 years as an Instructor at Clapham Junction I became a Training Officer for BRB. During this period the disaster at Clapham Jct occurred following which I moved to Derby where with help from the top testers from all regions I wrote all of the training material for testing (Mod 1 to Mod 5). They are still in use today but obviously updated. There are 2 items that you may well be interested in
1) During a period of working for my self I produced a distance learning course, Basic Signalling Principles & Associated Circuitry (BSP&AC). It provides a firm foundation for learning signalling engineering and is easy to learn with self assessment questions and answers and pause for thought exercises. On retirement I have re-formulated this course into 5 eBooks at a very reasonable cost. You can view the contents on my website www.bspaac.net. If you are in early stages of progressing into signalling engineering or thinking of moving into signalling engineering this could well be of benefit to you
2). I have just started a blog which will pass on my experiences within the rail industry. It will consist of true experiences containing change, progress, humor, grief, tragedy, ups and downs. No cost for this and my aim is to pass on knowledge and to entertain. You can access this on www.bspaac.com

Kind regards
