Saw this on BBC news "A historic train journey had to be abandoned minutes after setting off when the train slipped on the rails." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-39314849 Central Devon MP Mel Stride, who is also on the train, described the accident as a "little blip on a very long road". The story is a bit all over the place. "A historic train journey had to be abandoned minutes after setting off when the train slipped on the rails." juxtaposed with "Shortly after leaving Okehampton the 500 passengers were transferred to a different train at Exeter." I understand from another forum that the HST made it to Exeter where it as swapped for another HST (not quite sure why there was then an issue over seating numbers. ""The majority of people on the train are quite content", he added, "but we have had to change trains we haven't got enough seats for everyone."" Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs!
