Hello everyone,

Not much activity on the forums around execter lately, but I am having a run with the Summer Saturday 1985 V2 timetable and around 2:38 I notice I have a 'little situation' with 5C80 at Exeter St. Davids.

1C80 arrives in platform 1, joins correctly to the pilot engine 0C33, leaves behind some carriages as 5C80 which joins 0C80-1. 5C80 now shunts to platform 2. So far no problem.

But now: 5C80 is in platform 2, detaches engine 0C80-2, which is supposed to shunt to Hyde Park Siding. Here is the problem: that siding is not accessible if a train is occupying platform 2!

5C80 won't leave platform 2 until 7:50, and 0C80-2 is supposed to come into Hyde Park Sydings, becomes 0A06-1 and leave at 3:30 again...

Can anyone tell me how this is supposed to work?

Hmm.. maybe it is not such a big deal leaving 0C80-2 in New Yard, and manually let it run to 0A06-1's timetable there. There is nothing else that needs to use New Yard in the time it will be sitting there.

I believe that in an old version of the simulation, you could route into said siding while while platform 2 was occupied.

Indeed the above did work in a previous version of the sim. V2 was done a while ago and I am in the process of updating this TT (together with the other Exeter TT's I produced)since the sim has undergone a number of changes in recent times. I've been distracted with all the recent releases !

That would have been the final summer for exeter middle box. That move would have been possible when it was open.

Almost 1984 was the last summer for Middle box.Exeter Panel took control from May 1985 of the immediate Exeter area,Exeter Middle closed on the 30th March 1985 together with Cowley Bridge, with West box closing 6th May 1985.From the May Summer timetable,Exeter station area was under PB control.
