Hi all, After finishing the 1977 Peterborough 6-day timetable, I'd like to do another "historical" timetable. My preference is for Derby PSB where I spent 10 very happy years on the back desk during my railway career in the 80s and 90s, and I would like to do a year from when Derby was a mail hub i.e mid eighties. If there is anyone who has such a project in progress then could they please shout up to prevent duplication and wasted effort. Otherwise if there is anyone has a preference for a particular year I would be grateful for their response too. Hi Vince, I've started producing a timetable for Derby based on 1987. However until such time as Howard finishes everything he has to do with the sim you can't write a BR era timetable for this sim. I know Chris(Derbbybest) has done one for the early 1990s & is unable to release it due to the number of out-standing issues with the sim. Some months back Howard did do some work on making the sim better for the BR era but I dare say with his day to day job no doubt coming first we'll be waiting some time before a timetable can be created, tested & released with this sim. You'll be flogging a dead horse if you try it as there are a large number of issues still to be resolved. Some of the trains won't validate due to no paths as well as some locations are missing from the location list preventing certain trains from being timetabled. This is why I'm progressing with Peterborough 1985 as opposed to doing work on Derby 1987. If you do try & make a start it won't be long before you realise what I'm trying to ssay here. Yes this sim would make some very good BR era timetables. I must have at least 12-15 Derby Arrival & Departure/station working books covering from the late 1970s through to the early 1990s & if the sim had been in a fit state to do a BR era timetable then I would have already done 3 or 4.
