Hi all,

In the "wrong platform" penalty system one things isn't clear to me.

Is there a penalty for a train which is routed "through" a wrong platform.

e.g. where a platform is defined, a non stop train which runs normally through a fast line platform but for some reason is diverted through a slow line platform, or, as under.

Normally of course, a platform for a through train would not be defined but in the 1977 SO timetable of Peterborough I have a Walsall - Great Yarmouth train booked non-stop through Peterborough. A platform has to be defined as the timetable won't validate without one and it is P4 in this case. If however it is routed for any reason through P5 is a penalty incurred?

If it's non-stop then I'd expect it to be OK - why not check your points, do the test and check them again.
