Fairly new to Simsig - can anyone direct me to a glossary of pathcodes - cannot find this anywhere. Example - looking at Peterborough and there is a pathcode of KL - cannot find this mentioned anywhere. Thanks in advance Nigel Log in to reply |

KL will be for the Ketton line. There are lots of codes used in simulations, and they can stand for different things. It's simpler to look at the possible destinations/line names from a location, and see which matches the path code best. In this case, if the train's next location is Stamford, or it's coming from Stamford, there's only one possible route for it to take anyway. Brilliant, thanks. I presume this means just looking for equivalent abbreviations, which shouldn't be difficult. Does it work the other way round - for example on a train timetable I have noticed again for Peterborough, there is a mention of 'Peterborough Eastfield J' which I cannot see on trackplan - would this have a code to look for on the plan? You should find that "Eastfield Jn" is always associated with "Peterborough Yard" in timetables. It refers to the approach signals at the right-hand end of that yard, just clear of New England Jn.
