I've been trying to sell the benefits of SimSig to a friend of mine, but he is having umpteen problems just trying to get started. Note from him attached which outlines his problems. Anyone got any good ideas to solve his problems? He refuses to use Facebook, by the way...

I hate to say this because I hate to give up on anything, but I'm close to giving up on this! I created an account on SimSig and received the verification email, but as soon as I tried to log on I was told my password was incorrect. So I changed the password, used the new one, and got the same error message. I wondered if it was because my email is an alias for a Gmail account, so created a new SimSig account using the Gmail address, and got the same wrong password error.

I just went through the registration process with no errors, so it looks like your friend has missed a step.

Did he click on the link in the email sent by SimSig to confirm his account? He says he received it but not that he followed its instructions.

Thanks Kev. I'd done the same and couldn't reproduce the problem he's having, so I conclude the issue is with him, not SimSig. I appreciate you checking.

Good luck with the lurgy by the way. I'm only just recovering from it after nearly 2 weeks.

What were the usernames he used? It's quite hard to investigate without such.
