Hi all,
I am wanting to make a fictional timetable on the West Anglia Sim (although I assume the methodology is correct for most/all sims). What is the best way to work out timings for pass/station calls?
Thanks in advanced,
Thomas

Personally I'd look at a real life timetable on an online source such as realtimetrains.co.uk. This would help give you an idea of how long the trains actually take between points in real situations and you can then apply those timings to your timetable.

I'd agree with Table 52 - though would suggest using Open Train Times or TrackIT to get the data as RealTimeTrains adds additional timing points which might give you a little extra work!
There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

It only adds them for schedules within the next 7 days.

"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

Yes use OTT / RTT.
Also make sure your timetable works OK, so no delays etc before setting off making the whole timetable using the 'duplicate' function. Far easier to fix one than lots.
Also I find it better to have a lot of smaller timetables initially and then combine them to test.
For WA I'd think about doing separate Stansted/Cambridge, Enfield, Chingford, XC's and freight 'mini-timetables'.

Also there may be a bug in duplicate at present, with the automatic train description.
If you have that problem just duplicate one at a time, by holding the button down !

regards
Bill

That's defiantly the case.
Thanks for the idea for different timetables. I'll be doing that.
