Hi all,

I'm aware that there was an issue on timetables utilising driving rules that caused trains to slow down whilst running under clear signals.

Is this issue still active, or has it been fixed?

Mantis number #0019726

Speed calculations for driving rules seem be calculated from the normal line speed only, so if a line has a differential line speed for DMU, EMU etc it is not being used. also at times the defensive driving rules appear to be being applied whilst running under greens to rules that apply to YY or Y only so trains end up running at a very low speed when they have a clear run,

Thanks. It wasn't assigned to me, hence I hadn't seen it appear.

The symptom I'm getting on Marylebone, is that the drivers are driving to the aspects presented to the signaller!

If I activate "Show automatic signal aspects", clear automatic signals are read as such and the train returns to line speed.

Erm ... it seemed to work, but no, I have to set the train to Passenger Class of Service.

There is no way that can happen as such. The bit of the core code that presents aspects to trains doesn't know how they're displayed. The bit that displays them maps the aspect to a colour to show; that option just changes the colour mapping.

I can't think of a bug in the code that could do this. Perhaps a corrupt pointer has done some random damage.

Clive, thanks for looking.

As I edited my post later (probably at the same time as you were replying), it seems it was wishful thinking. I did have several trains speed up to sensible speeds only to return to 25mph.

Will just have to wait until the fog clears ;-)
