Interesting situation. In Peterborough 1977, I have T5912 SOWC on the down fast just north of Huntingdon, thus preventing 5B57 crossing over. I have decided to run 5B57 to Connington along the DSL to cross back (it has plenty of time to do this) and have abandoned the timetable to enable this to be done. I then used 5B57 to examine the line in connection with the track circuit SOWC and it reports (as always) "no obstruction found" Now - 5B57 continues but seems to be stuck at 13mph running along the DSL and does not speed up at any point. I can still abandon its timetable from the F2 screen even though it does not now have a timetable to run to. I can't get the speed to increase presumably because its has no timetable and thus no "train characteristics" and it still believes its examining the line. See the attached save and images. Certainly not a huge issue as this scenario is very unlikely to occur again, but interesting nevertheless.

Having had a look at your save, there does not appear to be any issues with the sim, having had a look at 5B57FO the stock type has a maximum seed of 15mph, therefore only having it running at 13mph not far off the maximum speed assigned.

Mark, Thank you - sorry to set you off on a wild-goose chase. I'd forgotten that I'd assigned a different train type to the shunt movements which I'd limited to 15mph. Sorry - I'll now wipe the egg off my face.
