AS you can see i have been able to set a warner route to an already collered signal. This has been found on the Swindon A&B sim in a multuiplayer session with Jamie. No reminder overide was used.

That'll be correct behaviour as you haven't placed a reminder appliance on the Warner exit.

I had wondered whether the Western region panels had two types of collars for their twisty entrance knobs as well as the exit buttons, looks like they do, as both can be seen on the top of the Cardiff panel here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/swindonpanel/14675567647/in/album-72157645796297169/

I assume that warner routes are provided as two exit buttons on these panels?

Originally the same reminders were used, the ones you see in the photo with the indented sides were made later to allow easier placement on both entry and exit back to back at the same time.

In general, E10k interlocking worked by WR-style panels did not have separate warned routes, but a “delayed yellow” would be automatically selected for some routes that were so provided based upon the lie of points in the overlaps. The shunt routes which have a white exit arrow in SimSig are selected by turning the entrance switch the other way. Later western push-push panels like Exeter and Westbury have a more conventional reduced overlap selected by a separate exit button.

Getting to know which overlaps could be adjusted to give a clear signal or a delayed yellow was part of learning the panel. On Bristol panel for instance you could set delayed yellows at Weston-super-Mare by having the points at the other end of the platform set the opposite way (handy for getting two trains in at once). Similarly there were some combinations of point setting on platform 5 at Temple Meads that gave a delayed yellow at the East gantry.

Main routes were a red arrow on the entrance switch to a red exit button, and shunt routes were yellow to yellow. Exit buttons that were for both main and shunt routes were a red button with a yellow collar.

There is also this Wiki Page that that details what the exit arrows do (although may need updating to include the red exit arrows)

This is correct for IECCs/Westcads/MCSs, ie with the warner collared you can still set a main route; or with the signal collared you can set a warner route.

Western E10k panels in real life are not the same though, so the sim does have a compromise.

Not forgetting here that the area in question in the screenshot was part of Swindon B IECC, so not on a panel

Well spotted - got misled by the talk of Western panels! In that case the sim is definitely correct.

Yes there were reminders for both buttons and switches.
