Just been playing the Exeter sim with Sea Wall flooding closure. How do i get the Engineering Possessions and/or Sea Wall closure notifications that the job is done and lines is open. That question also applies to other sims with engineering works. One could re edit the wtt for trains via edit train t/t thus notifying drivers of amended workings. The thing is, you get engineering works at locations that gives you time saying the lines would be open at a time, mostly mornings and also notifications that engineering works is over running late in real life...... So can that be replicated in SimSig sims ? Log in to reply |

There are only a handful of simulations that have possessions which are lifted during the day- I think it's just Edge Hill and Oxted, both of which are intended for use with the 15/10/2009 timetable. All other possessions are in force for the entire day.

This does seem like something that could reasonably be exposed for user customisation - along with other "scenario" type tweaks like leaf-fall and difficulty presets. At the moment, for example, you can't combine leaf-fall with line closures just by selecting a scenario.

Possessions can be applied and lifted manually by using the F11 failures window to apply isolations to individual track sections.

All other possessions are in force for the entire day.I also put the groundhog day possessions in East Coastway and indeed they will appear in anything new of mine that gets released. You can use the possession scenario with any timetable, however that does come with the warning that you as the user may need to be amending trains which would otherwise run through the block, so just be wary if you do this.
