Getting data from RealTimeTrains and such 11/07/2019 at 14:19 #119378

Hi all,

Just a quick question - when writing timetables, the best way to get data for passenger workings seems to be RealTimeTrains and so on.

However, is there any way at all of getting this data in one go?

When I tried to write a timetable for West Anglia, I manually searched each location and was limited to a week before the data was lost.

I tried having a look at the NR published timetables, but trying to see what formed what, I didn't find too easy...

Does everyone have this issue, or is there an easier way?

All the best - and eager to learn - Joe

Joe - you need to go to the Network Rail site and download the relevant WTTs, then you can get the bulk of you TT data without running beyond the 7 days.

If you go to here https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/PostView/118358 follow that link you can get the current working timetables for the country.

Once your happy with your main data you can then go back to realtimetrains or opentraintimes. and get any extras you want to add.

Another free site which has a longer history is http://www.charlwoodhouse.co.uk/rail/liverail/ so you can go back beyond the 7 day restriction of RTT/OTT
