A local passenger train derailed at the junction near Hunghom Station.
Perhaps a points failure as it seems that the points suddenly switched from Platform 4 to Platform 7 when the track is occupied?

The points machine should still be made by Westinghouse.

Here's another photo from the Internet. Curiously, only three carriages in the middle appear to have derailed.


Edit: One more photo showing a piece of broken rail. Whether this is the cause or effect is not yet known.

More edit: Just found out that Apple Daily has obtained an internal recording of the signalling display, but a subscription is needed to view it so I don't think I can legally mirror the video.
