I've been playing this timetable over the last few days and its got to 1445 hrs and 9K43 has entered from Healy Mills. Timetable shows probably reversing at Horbury Junction going to Marcroft Engineering. I must be going bonkers but I can't find any reference to this loation in the forums or on the diagram and it's driving me nuts! Google maps doesn't help either. :(

Can anyone tell me where I'm supposed to direct this train and whether any phone calls are required.

Just as an aside - excellent sim and timetable for freight lovers - standard timetable with all its delays but no failures and with the Level Crossings disabled of course. :)

Cheers

Dave

Sorry - this is playing the 1991 timetable.

A quick search threw up this location https://www.google.com/maps/place/Stoke-on-Trent+ST4+4HP/@52.9921678,-2.1797758,333m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x487a684dff618071:0x54bea5a2cb4cb732!8m2!3d52.9917001!4d-2.1803723

Sorry Peter - I meant on the sim.

I did do a google search for Marcroft Engineering Wakefield but it didn't help me very much in relation to where I needed to route this train.

I believe it's the location marked Goods & Bombardier.

Kings Cross is not on the Edinburgh Sim but it's still a destination for trains in that Sim.

It's the wagon works at Healey Mills on the south side of the line. It's controlled by Healey Mills off sim. Just route the train back to Healey Mills. The manual refers to it as storrs Hill but I imagine there's more than one TIPLOC for it.

Procor/bonbardier is the wagon works at Horbury.

But if a train were shown as having its next location as being "Kings Cross Sidings" as the next location after Haymarket, one might suspect it refers to a different Kings Cross than the one several hundred miles away!

(Of course, we all know that there isn't a "Kings Cross Sidings" in Edinburgh - until someone pipes up saying that such a place did exist in steam days...)

If I saw "King's Cross Sidings" as the next station after Haymarket I'd assume it was going to Glasgow.

Looking at Pascal's '91 tt, 9K43 should be routed into the Goods & Bombardier sidings (telephone required) as a little while later it comes out via the GF HJ40 and goes back to Healey Mills.

Now whether that is the location called Marcroft Engineering IRL is another matter. A brief google search appears to be inconclusive.

I don't dispute the hypothesis: but it didn't.

Would it not be helpful to other 'users' with no local knowledge if something was added to the manual.

I initially had a similar problem identifying Derby Adtranz Litchurch Lane. I think that I eventually found it by 'trial & error'
Looking at the sim now though, I am not totally really sure which location it is, as I haven't played the Derby sim since just before Christmas last year.
