Had this idea while travelling from my local station (Chester)

Panel 1: Chester PSB
Chester itself may be a good little sim, The station area being 1 panel, stretching from The Rockliffe Hall Fringe on the mainline (NWC Sim), then Croes Newydd fringe on the Wrexham line (NE Wales Sim). the 2 Eras could have the Wrexham chord pre-2016? when it was single then double as 2016 onwards.
Then the station could prove a lot of fun. and at the east end of the panel have Beeston Castle & Tarporley as the end of this panel, and mickle Trafford as the other end to the Chester panel. the Merseyrail line would fringe at Capenhurst.

Panel 2: Hooton
Then on the Merseyrail lines, Hooton could be another panel fringing with the sandhills sim and also having the chord to the Ellesmere port panel, this would be a small but busy panel!

Panel 3: Ellesmere Port
Another small panel, controlling the existing signal box at Ellesmere Port this would have the Merseyrail services but a good opportunity for freight traffic to the oil refinery there!

Panel 4: Beeston Castle & Tarporley
A small Panel, only controlling this box, which only has a small trailing X-Over and a few signals. Absolute block can be used on the fringe to Crewe Steel Works (Crewe Sim)

Panel 5: Mickle Trafford
Again another small mechanical box, this would be another ideal little panel controlling the junc to Greenbank (Greenbank Sim) and the mainline to Helsby, this would see regular traffic on both routes so would be an ideal little panel. Absolute Block would also be in force on the line to Helsby.

Panel 6: Helsby Junc
This would be an amazing little panel, Absolute block on all lines, semaphores galore and all mechanical, would be a wonderful panel to work. This would also include the area formerly controlled from Stanlow & Thornton SB, It would connect to the Ellesmere Port Panel.

Panel 7: Frodsham Junc
The 2nd to the last Panel being here this would still have Absolute block on the main lines to Helsby & Norton and could also have 2 eras represented, the mechanical frame & Semaphores and the modern panel & Colour lights. this would fringe to Helsby, Norton and Halton Junc (Edge Hill Sim)

Panel 8: The final panel, working Absolute block to Frodsham Junc, and TCB To Warrington it would be an ideal fringe end sim end. it has 1 small trailing X-over that isn't signalled and 2 signals in the Up direction and 1 on the down its a small block post. it would fringe Frodsham junc, and Warrington PSB (Warrington Sim)

Maybe using something like the NE Scotland sim base would be good to get the semaphores, included as well as the colour lights and Absolute Block.

Here are as many of the diagrams as I can find, and hope this sim can appear soon!!

You mean like the Chester sim that was previewed at the London meet last year?
