Not able to edit timetable 19/05/2020 at 15:40 #126938

Hello!

I'm currently playing the Euston sim. I managed to send 1A00 to the wrong platform. 0A00 is supposed to join 1A00 at Euston platform 13, but since they're at platform 9, I just get the message "Train 1A00 in front".
I do everything I can before deciding to either remove the train or make it shorter. I'm thinking I'm able to fix this by changing where the trains are going to join.

Open the F2 menu > right click on 0A00 > Edit timetable > Location list > Edit.
Changed the platform from 13 to 9. When I now try to hit "Ok", nothing happens. Not able to press "Ok", no matter what.

Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

No worries

Issue with 0A00 not being able to attach is that it can never reach the Euston Location. P9 is only 200m long and with 0A66 (loco against buffers) being 20m and then 1A00 being 180m, 0A00 will not be able to reach the location to perform the join.

I'm not sure what problem you were getting with not being able to edit the TT as a couple of us have tried from your save game and been able to edit a TT.

As to getting out of this situation, I can only suggest that you shorten 1A00 by at least 20m to allow 0A00 to arrive at the station. They will then be able to join, however you may still find that the train is stood infront of the platform starter signal and will phone for authority to proceed when he's ready to leave Euston.

That makes sense! I thought it didn't join because the train wasn't standing on platform 13. I made 1A00 20m shorter, and it worked! Thank you!

While waiting, I started a new game on Liverpool Lime Street. Tried to edit a TT, but same error here. Not able to press "Ok". I can press it, but nothing happens.

Thank you very much!

Liverpool Lime Street on the loader, or Liverpool Lime Street as an exe?
