SimSig Licencing Question 03/01/2021 at 10:59 #135924

I am quite new to buying payware simulations and I have a laptop and a desktop PC and I was wondering if it is possible to play the payware simulations on both my laptop and PC, not at the same time though.
I have bought Coventry and Wolverhampton and it lets you play that on both my laptop and PC but when I bought Birmingham New Street I clicked something on the "My Licenses" page on the website and now it says it is a "dynamic license" on New Steet whereas on the other ones it doesn't have that and I can play on both my PC and Laptop which I can't with New Steet.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Sam

All SimSig Licenses can now be used dynamically. See this Wiki page: https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Wiki/Show?page=usertrack:ssrun:simrun0#payware_simulations

This means that you don't need to allocate them to a specific machine. Instead, as long as you have an internet connection, you can start either your PC or laptop and play the simulation.

If you're going to be away from the internet, you still have the option to lock a license to a specific machine, by right-clicking it in the list of simulations. The license then can't be used by any other machine until you unlock it.

Please ensure you're running version 5.13 of the Loader- if not, update that before doing anything else.

Thank you very much that makes perfect sense.
