Would love to find info on the longer freight trains that are currently running according to railfreight.com might be worth doing a TT for as no sidings to loop in because Covid19 has reduced passenger traffic significantly. Faster train times for freight and less emissions not idling in loops.

There are some details here (under the "Bullet points for bullet trains" section) - if that's not already where you got the information from.

You can try looking up individual trains (or lists of all trains which are timed at a given locations) via http://www.charlwoodhouse.co.uk/rail/ (example provided: train which seems to match what is being described) or other online sources, although data is somewhat limited. Alternatively, there are probably some SimSig forum members who do have access to actual official data: I assume that if they are willing to provide you with such data then they can manifest themselves to you :).

There is one train I know that is extended around 775m that is DB Cargo (MO) 1939 4S47 Daventry to Mossend that's formed of 1x Class 66 + 20x FKA Intermodal Twin Flats. Once it arrives at Mossend the train splits into 2 portions with 10 FKAs going to Grangemouth while the remaining 10 FKAs stay at Mossend for the Euroterminal where they are attached to eith 2/3 more FKAs for remainder of the week.

Forth Ports announced with much fanfare that they could despatch 775M long trains from Grangemouth. What they did not say was that Mossend provides the only loop long enough between there and Kingmoor. I don't think there are any more long loops from there to Preston, though other SimSiggers may be able to enlighten me.

The absence of loops between Central Scotland and the border can be a real problem. I looked to see why a VWC Pendolino lost 40 minutes between Edinburgh and Carlisle. The answer was that a freight (not even 775M), possibly with a sick locomotive, had been let out at Slateford fully 30 minutes before the Pendo, but there was no option to pass the freight until, I think, Lockerbie.

Eden valley goods loop is 900 metres, between Penrith and Shap Summit.

According to the Motherwell manual, a train that fits in Lockerbie UPL also fits in Beattock UPL, both are 645m. Furthermore, if the train was less than 625m, it would have fitted in Abington UPL, even earlier than Beattock.
