Attached is picture of timetables for Westbury in 'Public Documents'. However, this timetable does not show after loadfing the 'Westbury' sim. The other timetables shown are there. Can anyone help here?

This is an older format timetable. You can load it by starting the simulation without a timetable, then going to menu > timetable > open (merge)

The TT is in the old WTT/WTR format. Is it the same problem as you have previously raised regarding an older SwinDid TT? You were helped to solve that problem by @Steamer here. The same process should work for the Westbury TT.

That won't work correctly unless the WTR file is in the same place as the WTT file.

Yes it will. WTR files are not required, the timetable will simply not include any rules. I've done it plenty of times myself.

It will not work as the TT writer wishes it to work if the writer has included rules to make it work properly. To my mind that comes under the category "not working correctly".

Perhaps the reading of the wording marks the difference between people with an operational mindset and a theoretical mindset in that the TT will load so fulfils that reading of the statement but will load but not operate correctly which was my point.

Some timetables don't have any rules intended to be attached..

I'm confused why, knowing this is the case, you'd still choose to load the timetable without any rules if you know they're part of the timetable?

So, it will partially work, and the amount of partiality depends on how much the original timetable depended on rules...

Yes, but comments like that only make sense if you are interested in proving that geeks trump operators which is not really the point at issue if you are the average SimSig user.

Because no one mentioned anything about whether or not the TT included any rules.

. . . . there are still plenty of timetables which don't include rules? Not everything needs a re-entry rule. Especially smaller simulations like I don't know, Aston? Terminus turnaround times can be done using dwell times.
I'm just not going off the same assumption as you.

No assumption needed - the Westbury 1922 timetable zip contains a wtr file with 37 rules in it. The vast majority are re-entry rules for locos getting stock to and from sidings.

With the latest Westbury sim there are some invalid timetables that need to be fixed.

Did you actually check to see if there were any rules in the WTR file ???

I've just merged both into sim and there are 119 rules for this timetable, so without the WTR it wont work as its supposed to.

Always load have the WTR file in the same folder as the WTT for converting the timetable.

Its about time you stopped misleading the members here with some of your forthright opinions

Lets apply a bit of logic.
Option 1.
WTR in same location as WTT, timetable works 100% when there are rules.
WTR in same location as WTT, timetable works 100% when there are no rules.

Option 2.
Only WTT, timetable works <100% when there are rules.
Only WTT, timetable works 100% when there are no rules.

I wonder which is the preferable option?

Again, different assumptions. I wasn't talking about this timetable in specific but old format timetables in general.
Neither statement is 100% true. Not all timetables require a WTR file. And not all timetables work without a WTR file.
