I use Mac and every time I try and download SimSig onto it using WineBottler, as usual I put the .exe file into the installer, then while downloading it always fails, can anyone help?

I don't know what it should be downloading given you already have the .exe file, could you post a screenshot?

The errors are visible for a short time at 21 seconds in your video. It's not a downloading error. Could you copy/paste the bottom (from ###BOTTLING### on) so it is easier for us to read? I see 'Bad CPU type in executable'. This suggests an issue running 32-bit software, although it appears to apply to Wine's own regedit executable rather than SimSigInstaller.exe. Thanks. It appears your Mac OS version is too new and doesn't run 32-bit software nicely. In macOS 10.15 Catalina, support for 32-bit applications was removed. Wine is working to provide their own 32-bit compatibility layer but that takes time. The paid Crossover version can already run 32-bit applications on new macOS versions although I haven't checked whether it supports Big Sur. AJP in games Log in to reply |

SimSig is not available in a 64-bit version. Perhaps it could be compiled as such by the developers but so far macOS >=10.15 is the only platform on which it is required, so I don't think it is a priority, especially given Wine is working on 32-bit support for macOS. It appears PlayOnMac does run 32-bit applications and supports SimSig, could you try whether it runs there? AJP in games Log in to reply |

Looks like the SimSig script is outdated and needs to be edited to include MSXML.

I think you should ask this question in the PlayOnMac community - they should be able to fix their script. From your videos it is clear that PlayOnMac is able to run 32-bit software but the SimSig script is somehow outdated. That is a much easier thing to fix than 32-bit support for Winebottler on Big Sur, which is in progress but without a clear ETA at the moment. AJP in games Log in to reply |

Did anyone get it working under Bottles? Trying to get SimSig onto the Steam Deck without look, I've added msxml6 but still it hangs on loading the simulations.
