I get the same warning and always do no matter what sim I run - thats a dialog box thats been there for a year or more since one of the updates, since someone introduced it in one of the releases, only Carlisle seems to have any issues , Tyneside or Leeds throw that as well . For example I have just started a brand new game on Leeds and saved it at 0001 , and reloading it says "sim version is 4.9 but saved file version is 5.15. Leeds does not seem to have any issues though ?
Given that no one else is having the same issues when running Carlisle (or any of the other sims where you are seeing an error message) from a standing start, is there any chance that there might be something different about the update status of the loader/sim/hardware combination you are using compared to those without problems?

If the errors no one else is seeing persist, have you considered the nuclear option of uninstalling the loader then creating a new install from the latest set-up files available from the Home Page, loading any updates from the "Checking for Updates" button and then trying a new run of the Carlisle sim?

This suggests that somehow there are two copies of SimSigLoader.exe on slattery's PC, and somehow he can run either of them without knowing there are really two of them.
One is current and updated, the other is lost in the wilderness but somehow can still get run. Maybe a PC that has been updated several times from Win7 or 8 that changes where files go ?

Suggestion, which probably needs admin rights to work fully on W10:
Search your whole PC for 'SimSigloader.exe'
right click and check 'properties - details' for all those found
Also check where every shortcut you have (desktop, start menu, customised bits of your start menu, favorites lists etc) is pointing to.

Following bill_gensheets suggestion
I found a second copy of Carlisle.sim on a different drive to SimSigloader

(only one copy of the loader though).

After renaming the second, older one and restarting the 0300 save, the problem did not reappear ( so far )

thanks everyone for taking a look.

it looks as if it finds a second copy it randomly picks one or the other each time , which would account for it.

I would suggest that you should delete that second copy of Carlisle.sim that you have renamed as this sounds like its an older copy of the sim that has been superseded by the current version 4.3

For the Simsig Loader to pick up this other version, you will have at some point have given the Folder Option window a second folder to operate from. Unless you have installed Simsig to a non default location, I would suggest that in these options you only have the [CSIDL_COMMON_DOCUMENTS]\Simsig ticked and everything else unticked (if you have installed to a non default location then only have that location selected)
If you have multiple folders selected and a copy of the sim in each, there is a core code issue with the loader where on first opening the simulation list it will not show the first copy of the sim, hitting rescan then shows both copies. This for the general public should not be an issue as we only suggest that you have sims installed in 1 location on your computer rather than multiple. (Mantis 30461 applies to this issue)

When updating Simsig, the update manifest only looks at the first selected folder in your folder options and will only upsate that folder structure. This means that if you have any sims anywhere else on your computer (which you have the folder options directed to but not the first selected folder in the list) the updater will not do any updates to this folder. This has the useful side of also not then installing duplicates of every sim with the sims being automatically installed via the Loader Updates, however means that you will have older versions of the sim kicking around.

I have run through a fresh start of the Friday TT for you bringing it to just before the first train that you reported as causing the issue and was going to ask you to download the attached SSG and run it forwards to see if A) you got the warning message on opening that Dick posted in Post 141312 in this thread, and B) if you then had issues with 0M10 reversing at CE291. I have routed 1M10 to the shut exit at CE365 (white triangle) for the reversal at CE291 and he behaved as expected. This save was created on Loader V5.16.1 and Sim V4.3. It would be good if you could run the save and confirm those 2 points please
