Hi,

For some of the extended delays (e.g. police & ambulance), the driver has a great knack of knowing the ETD.

Perhaps the ETD could be less accurate (both optimistic or pessimistically) depending on the nature of the delay?

Thanks
Jamie

I always stop reading after knowing what the delay is for that very reason so I don't know how long I need to wait - I think it is more true to life if you don't know what the delay is and makes it more interesting to work around

I have had trains report that their issues have been resolved up to 20% earlier than the ETD but also trains who have phoned to say the issue has not yet been resolved for anything up to 30 minutes!

Much better to have unknown delays in some cases. Much like most of the track/point/signal failures. You try to plan around it. Much more realistic to not have known times.
