Hi,

For certain freights starting in-sim e.g. Milford, it would be nice if the drivers would not call ready to start / SG many hours before planned departure.

Currently the SD option "wait dep" works, but doesn't really allow for if the driver book on, register and have set up the train a few minutes early.

Could this be simulated either as an option, or automatically by service class?

Thanks
Jamie

Blue sky thinking. Could this be rule enforced?

"Train X must not depart from location until Y mins before booked time time"

The author can then decide what might be reasonable for an early start.

"We don't stop camborne wednesdays"

Could the Crew Change activity be used here? Have also used this with passenger stock seeded berthed in stations.

Granted, I've seen instances of crew reporting several hours early using this - core code seems to have some trouble with very long gaps between Arr and Dep timings, eg. in the Derby '09 TT 0F08 stables in the South Dock for 5 hours for the Sinfin tanks to discharge.

In Zone 6, no one can hear you scream...

There's a "Crew arrive at" option for Crew changes, which could be set 20 mins before departure and combined with a random SDO. It's not quite the right behaviour but it'll do for my new TT for now

Thanks Alex
