Hi all! Thoroughly enjoying this simulation! I am running the 2015 timetable, and at one point 1P04 is due to join 5P04 in Manchester Piccadilly platform 14A. I have routed 5P04 into 14A and 1P04 has arrived at signal 349 on the Down Slow line, but I cannot get it to enter the platform to join the waiting unit. The manual says that the platforms are only permissible from the mid-platform signals, but with the far end of the platform forming the overlap for the mid-platform signal, how do I get 1P04 into the platform? I don't know why 5P04 has stopped way short, since the TT states "far end", but if you abandon timetable on 5P04 it should move up and clear the middle TC. You can then re-instate its timetable, by which time the joiner should be on its way.

That worked a treat, thanks Geoff! Not really sure why I didn't try that myself. I think I probably saw the stopping position like you did and assumed it had stopped at the end of the platform. Anyway, another learning point for me! Log in to reply |
