TORR stopped working 27/12/2022 at 02:28 #149728

Hi Guys

CE477's TORR has stopped working. It may be coincidental, but it appears to have started happening since the recent loader update? The route sets as normal, but remains locked after the train has passed. I have to pull the route up resulting in the standard 30 second timeout.

I do sometimes make use of the opposing locking omitted functions when doing head shunt moves at Kingmore Depot and Upperby, but these too have started playing up in a similar fashion to CE477. On the bright side, with the route holding it reminds me there is a train in the dark area :)

Cheers

I believe the TORR change was made intentionally as a compromise, specifically under this bit of the changelog:
Quote:
0036297: [Runtime] Simplify single TC route TISP logic
As for it preventing effective usage of "opposing locking omitted", that does sound like it might be a bug.

Thanks Dionysusnu. I note that was in a November update. I am creating a new timetable for Carlisle at the moment, and this issue has only been around a few days, not from November.

All of these signals are single track routes, I'm afraid it's just something that we'll have to live with. A lot of these wouldn't TORR in real life either.

I've just checked the omitted opposite locking at both Kingmoor and Upperby, and it works fine.

Signal pairs with opposite locking removed won't TORR and will either stay clear or re-clear by design, as the purpose is to reduce the signaller's workload by not having to keep re-setting the routes.

Hi Steamer - that's exactly how they used to work for me - set and forget. Now, sporadically, they sometimes return to ON with the route remaining set. Anyway, no drama, just thought I would mention the change in behavior.
