I am aware of this by trainman: Per the relevant part of the manual, have you placed the required phone call "to the Caledonia Yard sidings shunter before the slot on 181/172 can be given"? In other words, you need to phone the shunter (Small Heath end) and get permission for the train before you should then operate the ground frame. snbower in post 142689 said: steps 1-3 for how to get this train into Caledonia? 1: Train enters from Tyseley Depot on the Dep[arture] line. 2: Place a call to Caledonia Yard (Small Heath end); Request permission for train 6G40; Shunter should grant permission immediately. 3: Operate the Small Heath GF by left-clicking on the green roundel; 'Hamburger menu' » Show » Lever frames » Small Heath GF » Swing levers 1, 2, and 3 in that order; by this time "Frame released" and "Points R" on the ground frame window should be lit white, and "SY172 Slot Off" should be lit yellow. 5: Set the route into Caledonia Yard via the applicable exit arrow. 6: Once the train has cleared the track circuit (track section), T392, you can restore the ground frame by following Step 3 above in reverse order in terms of the swinging of the levers, then right-click on the Small Heath GF roundel. However despite following instructions 1 and 2 when I try to operate instruction 3 and left click the green roundel all I get is a flashing white light that simply continues all simulation. This then blocks the departure line so my only option is to delete 6G40. I have tried clicking in and around the area with both left clicks and right clicks. All the right click does is stop the flashing. At no point does the GF box pop up. I have played several of the simulations over 20 years or more and am still fascinated by it all. However this has become a thorn for me now that won't go away. Does anyone have useful suggestions? I have downloaded all current updates and reinstalled a couple of times. Log in to reply |

Clicking on the GF Roundel only releases the Ground Frame, the window doesn’t open automatically. Menu > Show > Lever Frames > Small Heath GF Will open the window for Small Heath GF and enable you to operate the levers per the instructions you quoted.
