Hi there. I'm really stuck with train 5S24 booked from platform 1 to the Wall siding. Once there it is supposed to detach loco OT01 but it doesn't and timetable shows train is at buffer stops! If I cancel timetable and set up a new one, I'm shown that this train is not suitable traction and I cannot do anything with it! Advice would be most welcome. Terry. Saved game would be useful so that the underlying information can be established. Clearly something wrong has happened during your run as this problem has never been reported before over the years since the TT was published in the autumn of 2020 or in the hundreds of hours of testing prior to that. The screen shots aren't a lot of help in delving into the problem to the level that is required to resolve it. A saved game from before you cancelled the TT would be really useful but even a saved game from the time of the screen shots would be helpful. Terry, You can find any saved games (if you have any) when you are typing a post on the Forum. You should see ‘Choose File’ boxes under the typing area. If you click on the first one, you can then search for saved games on your computer in the pop-up window. On my computer they are found in: OS(C:)/Users/Public/Public Documents/SimSig/Simulations/simulation name, which in your case would be ‘Carlisle’ Hope this helps Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Bugsy, Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately, I couldn't access the game with your suggestion, however I did manage to access the saved game another way and I could upload it to SimSig correspondence. But I'm not sure how anybody could read it as it is an SSG file which I couldn't open and I don't know how to! Further, even if it can be opened, what does the reader see? If you finish a SimSig session and save the game so that you can start again from where you left off last time you are creating an ssg file. On the SimSig home screen is the option to load a previously saved simulation. What you are doing there is opening the saved ssg file. Using the option to load a previously saved simulation I have opened your attached ssg, bodged the TT, applied the bodged version to 5S24, put the train in the correct location, made sure the split starts and saved the file which is attached to this post. I don't know how you got into the situation but you should be able to go forward now. Post has attachments. Thanks to all contributors to my initial question regarding 5S24. I think I have misled you all because I said that 5S24 departed from platform 1 to the 'Wall Sidings' when in fact I had signalled this train from Platform 4 Which could explain why the train failed to detach 0T01 on arrival at the 'Wall Sidings'. Just why 5S24 was in Platform 4 I do not remember. However, I guess that the movement from platform 4 would have caused the problem I had. I'm going to run this timetable again in the near future to find out why I made this mistake (call this an act of penance!). I would like to know how I can open an SSG file for future reference. I don't mean an SSG file within the simulation itself but, for example, as an attachment to download. Terry. Terry Log in to reply |

Then open the SimSig home screen, click on the "load a previously saved simulation" button and use the Choose button to navigate to your downloaded ssg. Click on the ssg and it will then load like any other saved game.
