During my recent multiplayer session down trains which were 10 coaches would overhang the level crossing. Between 2017 and 2019 I had worked at Wokingham many times and they never used to overhang the level crossing or track circuit and the signaller was always able to raise the crossing whilst the train was in the platform. As far as I'm aware Wokingham can accommodate 12 coach trains.

Sectional Appendix states 10 car in both directions.

12 car Class 450 244.8m (Wiki train lenght states 81.60m per train set).

12 car 450 is 326m, thus 27 metres longer than then 299m available on platform 2 and 58m longer than the 268m available on platform 1.

That's confusing as the SimSig Length Calculator says a 12 car Class 450 is only 246m and the 10 car formations in the 2019 timetable are nowhere near the maximum length of the platforms.

The only 10 car trains in the timetable that was used was the 2019 Groundhog Day one with 2 x Class 458s that have a combined length of 204m per train so why would it overhang the platform unless it was a track circuit issue?

A 12 car Class 450 at 246m should easily be catered in both platforms at this location as Platform 1 has 22m between where the train stops and the platform starter and Platform 2 has 53m between where the train stops and the platform starter.

The other thing that doesn't make sense is the sectional appendix says both platforms are longer than 246m yet restricts train lengths to 10 cars, why?

How did you get the 326m for a 12 car Class 450?

Bad maths, when multiplying by 4 instead of 3. I'll adjust my OP.

Regardless, the info that can be found is that Wokingham can accomodate 10 cars.

Mantis 39363 to enquire if stopping positions can be adjusted to accomodate on the down line.

The platform lengths shown are measured top of ramp to top of ramp and an allowance for signals, stop boards, buffer
stops & stopping tolerance must be deducted from these figures to arrive at effective lengths.

And just for the benifit of doubt, the sim is based Circa 2012 as stated in the manual, before the platform extensions occured in some instances.
