What happens if you try and run the program as administrator?

Whenever there is a SimSig loader.exe update (not sim updates or new releases) the updating process should take on administrator rights which will allow it to install the updated loader.exe file. Depending on how your system is set up (and how tightly it is locked down) you may find those updates get blocked.
