This timetable of mine has just been sent for moderator approval. Below is a comprehensive description of whats contained in this timetable along with some issues found with the sim if running ARS:- Introduction ========= This timetable covers the period from 11th May 1992 to 27th September 1992. I've used the following BR documentation to write this timetable: * Section CE Regional Railways North West Working Timetable of Passenger, Parcels, Freight & Departmental train services covering the Manchester Area, Manchester to Liverpool, Crewe to Holyhead & branches, and Carnforth to Barrow for the period 11th May 1992 to 27th Spetember 1992 * Weekday Manchester Piccadilly Station Working Book 11th May to 26th September 1992 * Trainload Freight WCML(North) & North Wales Trip Notice commencing 11th May 1992 UFN. * Various Freight Train Loads Books for the late 1980s and early 1990s. * Variety of Freight Advices & BR LMR Special Traffic Notices covering this area & period. Operational notes ============== General ----------- * Because of the complexity of the timetable failures and delays should be disabled * Engines shunting from Piccadilly platform 5 to platform 6 via 5000 GF will only wait for a short time for the points to be moved. The GF needs to be operated as soon as possible after the engine arrives at 'Man Picc P5 Loco Release' to prevent the engine reversing back onto its train. There are only two trains timetabled to do this move, both in the early hours of the morning * Some trains at Piccadilly are timetabled into different platforms from those specified in the Station Working Book. This is because booked platforms are too short to be able to handle the trains (as per reality) * Lime Street Control at Piccadilly will occasionally not allow a train to be signalled into an occupied platform if the platform is occupied by a very long train. If necessary you must authorise the train concerned to pass the signal at Danger. * Trains booked in the WTT to reverse at Cornbrook Jn are timetabled to reverse at United FC Halt instead. These moves do not delay the train more than a minute or so when it arrives back at Deansgate * Some InterCity trains may be marked as being failures. After arrival at Piccadilly those trains will be sent into Longsight to exchange for a fully-working set * No trains run on the Up and Down Chester lines via Stretford so signals 703 and 705 can be set to auto-working * TRTS is provided at Piccadilly (all platforms), Oxford Road (all platforms) and Bolton platform 2 * A train leaving Westhoughton Sidings must not be permitted to depart until any train on the Down Hindley has passed 823 signal at Walton * Staff trains between Piccadilly and Stockport generally run via the Up & Down Goods at Longsight, and on the Down Slow in the other direction * Trains from Bolton UPL towards Bolton station should be routed via 629 signal on the Down Bolton. There is no route available from 661 to 663 on the Up Bolton, * There are 62 timetable warnings, but none of these affect the operation of the sim. This timetable contains 2,023 trains in total. Sim bugs ------------- * 664 signal at Bolton Down Sidings will not clear into the DPL if it is occupied. Trains must be authorised to pass the signal at Danger * It is not possible to reverse a train from the Longsight/Ardwick direction in the Engine Siding. These trains are timetabled to reverse in Mayfield DGL instead * The slot on signals 540 and 542 will not prevent a train entering from Manchester Victoria on the Down Chat Moss * Due to sim limitations at Longsight North some electric trains may be given a slot to a line that is not wired in reality ARS ------ This timetable is NOT designed to work with ARS. However, ARS will work with some limitations: * ARS will not set routes into occupied platforms at Piccadilly (even if platform share is specified) * ARS does not work properly in the Salford Crescent area * ARS often tries to misroute trains from Oxford Road into Piccadilly platform 14 instead of the booked platform 13 * ARS may not set a route from 301 signal (Longsight DGL) or 337 (Mayfield DGL) because these signals can not be set until a route has been set from the following signal Unit Diagrams & Classification ======================== Longsight (EMU) E101 - 109 Cl.305/2 E126 - 143 Cl.304 Longsight (DMU) LO201 - 222 Cl.108/Cl.101 [D1] LO226 - 231 Cl.101 [D3] Newton Heath NH326 - 336 Cl.156 NH351 - 357 Cl.153 NH376 - 380 Cl.150/2 [3 car] NH401 - 421 Cl.150/2 [2 car] NH501 - 545 Cl.142 Cardiff CF600 - 658 Cl.158 [2 car] Crown Point (Norwich) NC351 - 385 Cl.158 [2 car] Heaton HT101 - 115 Cl.158/7 [3 car] Neville Hill NL020 - 050 Cl.142 NL060 - 069 Cl.144 [3 car] NL070 - 081 [2 car] NL131 - 137 Cl.155 NL140 - 170 Cl.156 NL171 - 184 Cl.158/7 [2 car] NL191 - 198 Cl.158/9 [2 car] (WPPTE livery) Pool codes ========= DCMA - Civil Engineer London Midland Cl.47 Locos DCMB - Civil Engineers London Midland Bescot Cl.31 locos DCMC - Civil Engineer London Midland Crewe Cl.31 Locos FABI - Trainload Construction Immingham locos FECN - Power Station Coal Cl.56 Nottinghamshire locos FEDN - Power Station Coal Cl.56 Yorkshire locos FEEN - Power Station Coal North East locos FPBI - Trainload Petroleum Crewe Diesel locos FPCI - Trainload Petroleum Immingham locos ICCA - InterCity Cross Country Services Electric Locos ICCP - InterCity Cross Country Services Cl.43 locos ((LA & PM Depots) ICCS - InterCity Cross Country Services EC Cl.43 Locos ILRA -- InterCity Bristol Cl.47/4 Extended Range Locos IWCA - InterCity WCML Electric Locos IWPA - InterCity Euston - West Midlands Services Locos MDAT - Railfreight Distribution Tinsley Cl.47 Locos MDDT - Railfreight Distribution Tinsley Cl.47 extended range MDMC - Railfreight Distribution Cl.90/1 Locos MDNC - Railfreight Distribution Cl.86/6 & Cl.87/1 Locos NTSX - Network South East LTS Line PLGX - Provincial Longsight Electric Units PLOX - Provincial Longsight Diesel Units RXLC - Rail Express Systems Crewe Cl.47/4 Locos RXLE - Rail Express Systems AC Electric Locos Depot codes ========== CD - Crewe Diesel TMD CE - Crewe Electric TMD CF - Cardiff Canton T&RSMD EC - Craigentinny T&RSMD HT - Heaton T&RSMD NC - Norwich Crown Point T&RSMD NH - Newton Heath T&RSMD NL - Neville Hill T&RSMD IM - Immingham TMD LA - Plymouth Laira T&RSMD LO * Longsight Diesel T&RSMD LG - Longsight Electric T&RSMD PM - St. Phillips Marsh T&RSMD (Bristol) TI - Tinsley TMD (Sheffield) TO - Toton TMD (Notts) WN - Willesden TMD Tagging codes ============ 31W Westhoughton[Air Braked] 322 - Ashburys 32M - Longsight T&RSMD 33L - Trafford Park FLT 332 - Trafford Park 51F - Tilbury RCT 51N - Tilbury NFH 72W - Willesden FLT Abbreviations ========== COY - Company Owned Train ECS - Empty Coaching Stock EDMU - Empty Diesel Multiple Unit EEMU - Empty Electric Multiple Unit EHST - Empty High Speed Train FLT - Freightliner Terminal HST - High Speed Train LD - Light Diesel loco LDS - Light Diesel Shunter LE - Light Electric loco MD - Maintenance Depot NPCCS - Non Passenger Carrying Coaching Stock T&RSMD - Traction & Rolling Stock Maintenance Depot Timetable Copyright © Pascal Nadin [58050] October 2024 - May 2025.. One more thing I forgot to mention is that in this TT I've encorporated train failures. These only occur on services terminating at Manchester Piccadilly from London Euston. On the traction decision I've added the option of 'FAILED] albeit set to 1 as it didn't occur very often. The set is declared a failure on arrival at Manc'r Picc, due to defective ETS, air conditioning, broken window on a coach or the lighting in a coach has gone out, toilet defective on some coaches etc etc. What happens in these instances is that the train becomes a Cl.5 & runs empty to Longsight Car. MD. Approx 10 mins after this train arrives another fresh set comes off Longsight Car. MD to take up the return working. Pullman trains from London Euston are excluded from this option & a new traction decision is also applied to the empty set coming from Longsight Car MD, so you may not get the same type of loco working the fresh set compared to the loco on the failed set. That said the Cl.87/0 has more members in that class compared to the Cl.86/1, Cl.86/2 & Cl.90/0.

Are you still working on a Crewe 80s TT, Pascal?
There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway. Log in to reply |

Splodge in post 161166 said:Are you still working on a Crewe 80s TT, Pascal?I'm not exactly wkg on my Crewe summer 1988 TT atm, cos I'm waiting for the developer to sort out issues I've raised with the relevant era on the sim. That said atm I writing my Chester summer 1988 TT which I was originally going to do once I'd finished the Crewe TT. So now my Chester summer 1988 TT will be released before the Crewe summer 1988 TT & before you ask I won't be doing a summer 1988 TT for Manc'r Picc as there's too much track that no longer exists on the sims created.
