Writing Timetables

This page is intended to aid timetable writing, and isn't relevant to the operation of the simulation.

This is a list of timetable locations available when timetabling trains, excluding reversing locations and sidings. Trains to/from these types of location should 'pick up' the route at the next mandatory timing point unless otherwise stated.

Bold locations are mandatory timing points. Trains must be timed at these locations if they are to use this route. Others need only be included if the train is to stop there, or if the timetable source material times the train at the location.

Locations exist in both directions unless otherwise specified.

There is no direct access for Down trains to Gulf Oil Co., Down trains must perform a double reverse via Albion NS361' and 'Gulf Oil NS363'

Camp Hill Lines

Soho Lines

Timetables must include at least one location associated with each triangle. In addition, the following must be satisfied:

Trains from New Street must be timed at both Soho South and East Jns
Trains from Bescot Stadium must be timed at Perry Barr North Jn.
Trains to Galton Jn must be timed at Soho North Jn
Timetables must not skip two consecutive locations.
