Is it the entrance/exit to Tidmouth sheds? If yes will the turntable be included on the sim?

Can anyone guess what it is...?

Island Line, Isle of Wight???
Nah- definitely Heart of Wales Line.

No idea. But what makes you think that? I have only ever done HoW between Llanelli and Llanwrtyd Wells so I don't know the route beyond Llanwrtyd.

Hmm. Hasn't got ARS....manageable by one person....
How do I know you aren't saying that in order to put us all off the scent though?

OK I think I know and thanks to the Sim Sig Developers this will now be another area where we will not need to heed the iconic phrase recorded by Oswald Laurence.

I think we might be trying to Bridge the Gap not once, not twice but Three times.

(Wish it were) Penzance although the layout doesn't quite coincide.

Wild guesses:
* Tonbridge West Yard entrance.
* Fratton East junction

Doesn't quite feel like the Heart Of Wales line. Whilst beautiful it would probably be quite boring with 4 trains a day each way...

Based on GeoffM's earlier post I say Three Bridges or part there of. This guess is probably nearly as good as my earlier one :s

... suggests so. If the new sim is to be part of the Three Bridges ares then my guess would be Three Bridge (Crawley) which would fringe with the sims for Horsham (one gap bridged) and Brighton (via. Balcombe Tunnel Junction, the SB of which closed to Three Bridges 09-Jul-1978). That would be two gaps "bridged" but I am unsure as to the third gap.

Just a thought.

Would East Coastway count as the third gap bridged?

Hmmm interesting thoughts, however, as the developer (or co-developer to be technically correct) of Horsham, my fellow devs have not asked me to add chaining data to it. Doesn't rule it out, just that it won't chain IF your theory is accurate, so that gap won't be bridged ;-)

I'm going to guess two more I might be wrong, but I've had this feeling for a little while and think it's either Peak Forest or Leicester EMCC (by a hint of two quarrys sharing one line) looking at the given image...

From Oxted Wiki - The box covers an area stretching from Riddlesdown/Upper Warlingham in the north, where a fringe is created with Three Bridges panel to run to and from South Croydon, to East Grinstead and Uckfield in the south

Hmm.

Bridge the gap - Loughborough Great Central new bridge

A Leicester sim would link to:

West Hampstead
Trent
Rugby (Nuneaton)

That teaser looks a bit like Mountsorrel Tarmac sidings.

And its local to me so here's hoping.

Ah yes but Oxted would join to the "Croydon" part not the "Gatwick" part of Three Bridges sims so wouldn't fill in that gap.

As Noel says, this isn't the answer you're looking for (what we would love yes, but not what we'll be getting)

Speaking of bridging gaps, newport would bridge cardiff sims onto bristol and then exeter/plymouth/westbury/swindon/oxford/gloucester etc. Then we'd just need a hereford sim to link to shrewsbury.

I managed to get it to work before. It produces an error message on startup but does chain successfully.

Another thought on the matter of Bridging gaps. If we were talking three gaps to Bridge then could be a sim to cover more than one box? A sim covering Walsall PSB area plus the line to Rugeley (not inclusive) via. Hednesford would link to Saltley (via. Ryecroft Junction), New Street (via. Tame Bridge Parkway) and Stafford (via. Rugeley).

Also staying in the Midlands (but bridging two gaps not three) would be Stourbridge Junction which would link to New Street (via. Rowley Regis) and Saltley (via. Jewellery Quarter).
