Could this potentially be an entrance to Ponsandane Depot?

Another thought on the matter of Bridging gaps. If we were talking three gaps to Bridge then could be a sim to cover more than one box? A sim covering Walsall PSB area plus the line to Rugeley (not inclusive) via. Hednesford would link to Saltley (via. Ryecroft Junction), New Street (via. Tame Bridge Parkway) and Stafford (via. Rugeley).

Also staying in the Midlands (but bridging two gaps not three) would be Stourbridge Junction which would link to New Street (via. Rowley Regis) and Saltley (via. Jewellery Quarter).

Dave
Whilst I’d love it to be SBJ (as my home area), I can’t think where the teaser of the layout would fit there, unless I’m missing something. Also, to nitpick, New Street doesn’t link with SBJ via Rowley - all trains from Stourbridge go through there regardless of how they reach Birmingham. The chord to New Street diverges at Smethwick West Jn between Smethwick Galton Bridge and the site of the former Smethwick West station.

A combination of boxes between Worcester and SBJ would be nice (and hit the Gloucester chain too), and I believe would offer some AB in a representation of a not too distant past. It might even (really dreaming now) include the signalling between Round Oak and Walsall in the event Walsall did appear...

Could be but I cannot find anywhere on my Quail book where the track layout looks like that originally posted (except for Asfordby Jn on the branch to Alstom Test Centre which is apparently ground frame based so wouldn't fit in either). Unless of course it's an older layout (say 1980's) which could obviously mean it wouldn't appear of the 2005 Quail book.

Meanwhile, Doncaster would fill in the sim gap between Peterborough and York. That would permit an ECML chain from Kings Cross to Tyneside - somewhat beyond Sheffield, in fact.

Geoff confirmed it would be manageable by a single person which I would say rules out Donny completely.

In case anyone else made the mistake I did when I first saw the picture- the white line in the middle is a track with a route set on it, not a gap between two separate images.

It's Par.

Peter

We hope anyway. If so then next sim to be what I call the "Far West" (ie. Penzance up to the fringe with the Plymouth sim as well as the Truro to Falmouth, Liskeard to Looe, Par to Newquay and Burngullow Jcn to St. Dennis branches. Would be good.

However while I think that the platform layout could be Par the signals look the wrong type for the station.

It does remind me of Loughborough as displayed on the Trent sim though with a slightly different signal arrangement.

I thought I had it worked out from a clue/spoiler given earlier in the thread but I can't match the teasers to anywhere in that area off the top of my head; and moving away from that area I can't think of any matching layouts

There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

Sidestick Priority guessed correctly!

Newport will be the fourth simulation of the South Wales area, covering the now closed Newport PSB.

It will be available at £22.50 until 23:59 on December 31st 2017, the normal price will be £25. For anyone who doesn't own Cardiff, Cardiff Valleys and Cardiff Vale of Glamorgan, a multi buy including Newport will be available at £55 until 23:59 on December 31st 2017, the normal price will be £57.50.

A preview of the simulation in screenshot form can be found here

Wow, Sorry to say this, £55, might have to think twice about this, having just bought the Manchester multi buy for which Piccadilly is not really practicable for me as a single player. Not that I can't afford it but this Sim Sig hobby is starting to become an expensive one.
Sorry.......
