The Signal Number Plan has now been added, so you can use that as well.

For those dedicated enough to be awake, should we be expecting a midnight release on the 24th? (Or possibly 00:01, as train timetables don't do midnight!)

Insurance companies, amongst others, don't like 00:00/midnight as it's not obvious which end of the day it is!

The sim will be released during the day sometime - no specific time as yet.

What era has Newport been modelled on? Only ask as there's 1 inaccuracy with the trackwork on the East triangle!

The Cwmbran-East Usk curve of the triangle is single-line. Not sure if it's bi-di or not, but it has been single-line for a few years now!

Sources would be hard without me going on a pointless rail journey to grab a photo as we pass - but I used to pass it almost weekly travelling to/from the DFR

Newport simulates the Newport PSB layout, not the current South Wales ROC layout. The East curve was double track at that time.

That would be the explanation then - thanks Steamer.

It's a slightly later era than my time at Little Mill Jn (early 1990s). Some serious modifications have been made to the interlocking since then as now the signals are capable of showing a Green aspect.

Was that when you moved away from Little Mill, and a number of red aspects displayed at Bristol?

Standard operating procedure - you have to have a red before any other colour.

I've heard of both Birmingham New Street and Bristol Temple Meads referred to as "The Crucible" since you almost always get a red before a colour.

KymriskaDraken used to be a signaller at Temple Meads - & funnily enough, has said that exact same thing!

Mainly for trains being held at s150 for a path into the station. That and the signal is approach control to red unless its set for 6 or 8.
