There are discrepancies in the P9-P11 diagram for 1990 mode, with P9 having direct access to the Down Slow and P10-P13 missing an extra route. Opening day October 1988 layout shown in the attached screenshot taken from the "Yellow Peril".

From the manual "The earliest era is a compromise as part of MPSCC didn’t exist in that timeframe, but allows timetables for that era to be run with very minor compromises."

Yes, I had read that, but I am talking about the MPSCC area that existed since operational Day 1 in 1988, not the extensions to take in Windsor Bridge and Bolton in 1989 and 1990 which that quotation refers to.

I think you are missing the point. The changes for the 1990's era specifically relates to an earlier thread to get one of the fringes working for a timetable for that era. These alterations did not change anything at Piccadilly, nor were they intended to given that the 90's era was solely intended as a compromise. The era in question never intended to replicate all signalling arrangements for that area across the entire sim, and this was stated clearly at the time.

This does not fundamentally change the functionality of Piccadilly Station.

I've spent quite a lot of time proving that last sentence incorrect by coding timetables for the 1990 era. At that time, platforms 10/11 were used as slow line platforms for terminating/ starting services at the same time as platform 9 was used for lengthy WCML trains (290 metres or so). Platforms 10/11 could be used as timetabled ONLY by reliance on the missing connection to/from the slow lines, since any long train in platform 9 blocked access.

While I appreciate the extra work put in to create the Altrincham line, the old layout around platforms 9-11 at Piccadilly really is required for a correct 1990s era simulation.
