I'm just in to a session with the newly loaded "vanilla" timetable [August 2006 (0445 start)] and am getting a strange ARS problem on Garnqueen down.

A train is destined for Coatbridge FLT via the Gartcosh spur.

It approaches M255 which changes to yellow and a few moments later the route is extended via M251 and MG881 in to The spur. At this point M255 turns to a green aspect and then immediately arbitrarily returns to Red.

This only happens when under ARS.

Any ideas, please people?

Thanks
N.

ARS is a red herring. M255 seems to become subject to approach control when 66 points are swung reverse, giving an ACOA.

For now the easiest work around would be to put a reminder on MG881 to prevent ARS setting the route.

#19722 applies.

Personal preference but I've found it easier to key P66A/B (crossover from the Down Coatbridge to the Down Goods Loop) in the normal position releasing the key after the approaching train for the FLT has passed M255. I find keying the points then releasing them when a train for the FLT approaches is easier to handle than either applying and removing the reminder every time something for Garnqueen or Gartcosh approaches or remembering to add the reminder when a train for the FLT is the next to approach then signalling from M255 to M251 using the reminder override button.

I'll try all three ways and see what is easier for me. Thanks for your time on this, much appreciated.
