Paid for licence but sim not available on list 10/08/2018 at 19:22 #110887

Hi,
I just paid for London Bridge

The licence appeared in my license manager and I have allocated it to this machine.

But after running Update several times I still do not have London Bridge appear on my available Sims list.

Is there something else I have to do to get this Sim?

Please confirm the loader version you are using. This information can be found on the main loader screen in the bottom left corner.

The sims are downloaded and will appear in the start menu irrespective of whether you have a license for them, enabling one to play demo versions and inspect simulations before buying. The main purpose though is just to make the install process painless, easy, and virtually automatic for everyone. To make it clear which sims you actually have a license for, any sim which requires a license and which you don't currently have a license for, will appear pink in the menu.

Doesn't really help when the user is saying it's not appearing in the list.

Given that the loader is now V4.8.1 I would suggest that you redownload the system files from the website. You should then get offered updates including the London Bridge sim once you have reinstalled. There were a couple loader updates that needed you to reinstall rather than just update between V4.5 and 4.8

Sure, I just thought it might be helpful to take the opportunity to correct a misunderstanding for future reference
