I'm playing the 29th September 2018 tt and at 05:10 have received a telephone call from the driver of 5C32 which is held at red signal CE301 on platform 1 at the south end. (See first screenshot)

This seems a bit strange to me because 5C32 should become 2C32 when at platform 1 (second screenshot) and this train is not scheduled to depart Carlisle for Wigton until 05:15.
It didn't bother me as I just selcted 'Run to another timetable' in the train list, changed the headcode to 2C32 and waited until 05:15, cleared the signal and it went merrily on its way to Wigton.

I have attached a save at 05:10

The issue is 5C32 hasn't registered as having passed Caldew Junction.

Why is that? I've re-run the sim from 05:00 and it's happened again. Is it fixable?

Having loaded up the Saved Sim it's suggesting your using the 2016 timetable.
This been one of my timetables, I can confirm while testing that 5C32 worked and arrived and formed 2C32.
Try running from Caldew to Up Main to Carlisle P1?.

Do you have a save from 0500? So I can work off what issue could be?

Found the issue. You have routed 5C32 from the depot onto the Up Goods to position signal CE436, from there the timetable won't correctly step up at Caldew Jn. Any trains entering at Kingmoor Depot (Up) should be routed on to the Down Goods to CE437.

Apart from that in the OP you managed to get the next working and it went on happily.

Caldew Jn is the actual timing and is correct within all WTTs. So the location isn't the issue. Just a wrong route from Depot.

I've just shut the sim down now so can't check, but aren't there only two possible routes, one via the UP/DOWN Main and the other via the UP Main?
I've tried both with the same result.

This particular issue has already been bugged #25173.

You should route from CE459 to CE437 and not to CE436. SA states that you shouldn't route from CE436 to the mainline.

Would be interested to see if you could do this and see your outcome.

I did have a quick look at previous posts, but couldn't find anything related.

I'll do what you suggest and give you the result later on today. Got hedge cutting to do first.

Your advice did the trick. 5C32 changed to 2C32 in platfrom 1 at Carlisle.
Thanks for clarifying that for me.
Presumably I should route all other trains via CE436 form the yard to Carlisle?

With correct routing onto the Up Goods from Kingmoor Depot (Up) the trains timetable will update at Caldew Jn.

More Info from a Carlisle Signaller:
Signal CE436 is only used for shunting purposes from Kingmoor Depot (Up) if the train is longer than the actual headshunt. CE436 must not be used to signal trains out onto the mainline at Caldew Jn.

Some inconsistency here!

Yes, I now know that. Thanks.
Found it out by taking Hap's advice and re-running the sim from 04:50
