Well, as it's a London meet and I'm moving to Norwich in a few weeks, I'm going to say either the GEML, Colchester box complete with Trowse so one can signal up to Sheringham, Saxmundham or the rural boxes on the Lowestoft / Yarmouth route.

East Anglia, basically. One day...!
Well if it's the GEML I would hope that the GEML part of Liverpool Street IECC is done as then you would have Liverpool Street to Witham with Stratford, Ilford, Shenfield & Witham panels before north of Colchester is done.

And as to the rural boxes on the Wherry lines as they're in the process of being resignalled from AB to TCB (https://www.networkrail.co.uk/running-the-railway/our-routes/anglia/norwich-yarmouth-lowestoft-re-signalling/) I would have thought they be managed from Colchester but that in my view any GEML sims will either be broken up as the Rugby sims are OR will be done like Three Bridges has been done.

If we want to discuss a wild card though, could we see the North London Line finished?
I am keen to see Colchester ASC as a sim. You could break it up as per Rugby:

- Ipswich Panel (as one sim)
- Norwich Panel (as one sim)
- Thorpe Le Soken Desk, Colchester Desk and East Gate Desk (all as one sim)

Hmmmm. Good thinking. If you were to think about Kent how about Ashford IECC? 6 workstations so would need to split into three sims (both as per Rugby SCC):

Sim 1: Workstations 1 (Severnoaks & Orpington) and 2 (Tonbridge & Paddock Wood)
Sim 2: Workstations 4 (Ashford) and 5 (Dollands Moor & Channel Tunnel)
Sim 3: North Kent Workstations 1 (Dartford) and 2 (Gravesend)

Of those, and if done as above, the chains would be as follows:
- Sim 1: London Bridge (Elmstead Woods), Victoria SE (Petts Wood, Bat & Ball and Chislehurst), Three Bridges ASC (Godstone)
- Sim 2: Maidstone East (Beechbrook Farm)
- Sim 3: London Bridge (Mottingham, Eltham and Woolwich Arsenal)

Imagine a chain like that! If all sims were in use with one player on each panel we would need 33 players. I think Ashford IECC (and thus North Kent?) is on the conflict of interest list so someone other than Geoff would have to do that one. Who knows? Maybe one day it might be possible on SimSig but I have no ideas what is coming: my guess is that Walsall (which would link to Birmingham NS and Staffordshire) is a good bet.

A photo link for Ashford IECC & North Kent is https://photos.signalling.org/index?/category/398-ashford_iecc

As I am a Slade Green/Sidcup boy that's what drew my attention to the pics. Certainly looks good

Ashford IECC is the original 4 workstations. North Kent was added far more recently hence the difference in display.

I have checked the runes, tortured a few developers and I am fairly sure that the new sim will be the Blackpool Tram.

Kev
The runes are confused and you didn't torture the developers sufficiently.

I have just put 2,563 pieces of paper with all the station names on them into a bucket. The one that I pulled out was "Doncaster".
So there you have the answer.

Just to ask... isn't it usually about this time that someone in the know drops a completely obvious image from the sim that will be played that everyone immediately can recognise? (Sarcasm! :))

It's interesting seeing all the bets but I think by looking at what's missing sim wise, it can be narrowed down even though there are a few possible sims.

It could even be the Severn Valley Railway!

Indeed. Maybe even an update of an existing sim, such as Cambridge or Trent. Or maybe something new, such as Walsall (one of the sims I hope will emerge one day) as well as a loader version of another sim. I won't be there (I will be in London but am going to an occasion at Westminster Abbey which unfortunately falls on the same day as the meet) but will look forward to seeing what the sim is.

Interesting times.

I'm in London but I'm elsewhere as to the possible sims that it could be, well it might not even be UK mainline after all we already have one preserved railway so what's stopping a developer with the data from building another one say Severn Valley Railway or East Lancs etc?

We also have the Victoria LUL sim so providing the data is there, could see the Piccadilly line as well as foreign sims such as the Aussie ones etc so could well be a sim from another continent?

We might finally get a sim released that has been previewed at a previous meet eg Preston, it might be a re-released sim eg Edinburgh but on the loader or it might be a brand new sim that nobody has seen such as Lincoln or Eastleigh?

It certainly is exciting, the question we should be thinking as well is if the sim chains to other sims then what timetables will be available for a chaining session if at all?

I know all will be revealed in all it's glory on Saturday, for now though it's interesting seeing the bets going on

I know that someone had a go at doing Eastleigh a few years ago as someone (I forget who: I think they are no longer a member) sent me a screenshot. It did look quite decent and I have often thought it a shame there was no release. Maybe someone will take it on in the future if they haven't already: Eastleigh is another one on my 'wanted' list. Doncaster is also another on the same list. Small is beautiful but, sometimes, the bigger the better and I like Upminster IECC.

Walsall, which would link to Birmingham NS and Staffordshire sims, could be a cadidate for the meet sim too as that would fill a gap.

Ah! You knew that I was playing a Stafford sim based on my recent posts. Doesn't take long to work it out.

Probably more then one sim then at the meet, there is history of some meets having more then one sim on show.

My final picks is somewhere from London Midland region and somewhere in Ireland.
