I know the exe simulations have been taken down from the downloads, but if you've already downloaded it previously to it getting taken down, you should be able to play it, right? I ask because I did exactly that, but an error when I start it.
"The code execution cannot proceed because rtl60.bpl was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I have reinstalled it and it hasn't fixed it. So I take it that if you've downloaded it previously.

Is it just me having that issue or?

rtl60.bpl is a DLL for some basic Delphi functionality. These days I build the Loader with the BPL embedded, to avoid "DLL hell" (and missing DLLs), though not terribly efficient.

I've attached the BPL but you might get a new error (another BPL missing). If so, maybe somebody could run a dependency checker on the exe, to determine what DLLs/BPLs it's looking for.

I downloaded Southampton some time ago and have rtl60.bpl in my machine. The sim works for me.
If the Boss gives his permission I could send you a copy.

Doh!

Edit: To cover my embarrassment I've gone to an old HDD I had stashed away and e-mailed the required bpls to Jamie.

Thanks to John's help (with vcl60, vclx60 and vclsmp60), I have Trent, Worksop, Humber, Southampton and Gloucester back in play.

Cheers
Jamie

Apologies if this is not the place to ask but doesn't seem worthy of a new thread...

Are there plans to bring any of these sims on to the loader?

-Tom

EDIT: doh, didn't look hard enough! Seen on another thread that there are no current plans.

Well I wouldn't say that there are no current plans.

There is a written rule that sims will be ready when they are ready, and to avoid disappointment and nagging sims which are in development are not always talked about at all.

But Edinburgh has just very recently been done. Euston is known to be in the works and Cambridge is definitely on the to-do list

Post deleted. Do NOT post EXEs, DLLs, BPLs here as we cannot verify the source, or whether it contains malware or viruses. My link above came from the original Delphi distribution (CDs as-were). Anybody that downloaded them from the post I just deleted should run a virus scan immediately.

Isn't there any sort of Delphi runtime installer available from Borland for the version you're using (just like the various Microsoft runtime components typically installed on Windows systems) which would have all BPL files included?

That would be a far more sensible solution.
