I'm playing the Peterborough 1977 6-day tt, v1.4.

I seem to remember recently reading a post which stated that if Nene C.S. said "Not right now" when you asked to send a train that it meant that a train was due to enter from the sidings.
for the last five minutes or so I've been trying to send both 5E59 (in P4) to the sidings and all I get is "Not right now".
It’s 16:35 and as far as I can see, there are no trains due from the sidings until 18:30.
Bet that I've done something wrong :\

I have attached a save, Tech Info and screenshot.

Edit: Tried for at least 10 minutes and no luck

Hope you soon believe that the pandemic has eased enough for you to feel safe so that you can get out more.

It might look as though I'm online most of the time but that's because I boot up in the morning virtually every day and shut down late evening.
This doesn't mean that I'm in front of the computer all the time. When it's not raining I often go for a long walk and also spend quite a lot of time in the garden.

BTW. Got fed up and sent it in anyway.

Edit: Today the weather is c..p

It's possible that the sidings are full. There is a mantis ticket regarding phone call messages requiring a "no room" response.

Of course, thats a real problem when you have trains waiting in both P4 and P5 to enter Nene. Since they can't come in, and nothing can come out.

If a timetable is based on reality, what would happen if the sidings were full? Would they send them to the yard instead? They've got to go somewhere.

I'd love to see what's going on in those sidings if they are full. I've just sent a second train in.

I've got a situation where the call dialog to Nene CS has no options in the dropdown, so I can't request permission to send trains in. I'm fairly sure I didn't do anything screwy. 5P03 is about to appear in the attached!

EDIT: after a couple of tries, dialog was correct at 20:03:14 with the ECS coming to a stand P4. Phew :)

Thanks
Jamie

You won't get the "Can train enter?" option until a train is occupying P4 or P5. The phone call must be made when that criteria has been met.

If Neve has has an out bound, it won’t give permission for an inbound.
If an outbound is scheduled, but delayed for 50 minutes. For that 50 minutes nothing can enter. I prefer to play the sim with Nene no phone calls selected, but you can only do that at the beginning on a new simulation.

You could always think of it as a unit having failed at the departure signal with the brakes hard on and unable to release. Stranger things have happened.
