Trains at BD2 seem to not call in at the signal, nor make their presence known in any other way. At the same time, the call for permission to Barton South does not consider the presence of a train at BD2, meaning that an entering train gets into a mexican stand-off. Its status will change to "train [the one waiting at BD2] in front".

Granted, BD2 is not a Derby signal, so the train not calling makes sense. However, this becomes an issue when, for example, a train has entered and is waiting at BD2, then the game is saved and reloaded. In this case, there is no way for the signaller to know a train is even there, not considering using the train list as this is unrealistic and should not be a primary way to find waiting trains.

A timetable for reproduction has been attached.
Steps taken:
- Load with seeding
- Do nothing until you get the call that BART is ready at BD2
- Wait for at least 2 minutes, observe that BART does not call to say it is waiting at BD2
- Call Barton South, get the slot granted despite a conflicting movement
- Route WICH from S81 to BD1
- Wait for WICH to briefly stop at BD1
- When WICH proceeds, it runs into BART waiting and gets stuck with "Train BART in front"

This is something that is possible in real life. When the signaller receives the call from Barton Central they have already signalled from BD2 to DY52 signal and are awaiting you granting them the slot. If you then route a train in you will get a mexican. Nothing you can do about it except accepting the train when they give it to you.
When they phone you have to manually interpose the TD. If you don't want to interpose it straight into DY82 then use a sticky note. Simplez

Barton has to give the Derby signaller permission to send a train. Any controller at Barton with common sense wouldn't give that permission if it resulted in a mexican standoff.
You also did not respond to the phone call part of my post. If we're talking real life, I assume the Barton controller would notice after 15 minutes that the train is still waiting, and give a subtle reminder by calling Derby again. For SimSig purposes, this could just be the train itself.
