Parkandillack Branch loops Today at 00:55 #161024 | |

As described in the manual the Parkandillack branch operates with train staff, from what I understand of train staff operation is you must have the staff to move on the branch. As simulated it is effectively a very long single line dead end siding, but as drawn it hints to loops on the branch at Drinnick Mill and Parkandillack. Would it be possible in a future version of the sim, to simulate these loops such that you can leave wagons in the branch without blocking it? Something like if a line option is not selected/is blank in the timetable trip editor the train runs straight down the main but if a loop option is selected, the train uses the loop, similar to how the BAY & JNL options work at Liskeard Yard GF, this would make a potential change backwards compatible with existing timetables which don't use a loop line option Functioning like the attached crude diagram, noting I am not asking for the added complication of a head shunt and full loop at Parkandillack, the pretend the loco runs around the train functionality we have at the moment works perfectally fine. Attached is also a WTT that at current doesn't work but could work if implemented. I fully expect Devs to say "no, not worth the time to implement". But if I don't ask, I defiantly won't get get ![]() Post has attachments. Log in to view them. The train now standing on platform 2, should be on the rails Log in to reply |

From a TT authors perspective it isn't worth it. It doesn't add anything of value given the train goes into burngullow on its way back anyway. I've just timetabled trip up the branch and back with a suitable dwell time to force some "off sim" shunting at Park and drinnick. From the signallers perspective the train disappears up the branch into a black hole and returns when it's done. They have no input in the operation of the frames.
